I'm just challenging your opinion. No need to be upset.

Considering how much the Flaming Lips suck lately, I predict this will be awful. Though I haven't heard the new album

Embryonic is second to The Soft Bulletin in my book.

Embryonic is just Wanye and co trying to be a good psych bang again, and failing at it.

The Flaming Lips were once one of my top 5 bands, but they keep moving farther and farther down the list with each release.

Not quite understanding what you mean by "failing at it". I think they pulled it off quite well.

The Soft Bulletin is probably my least favourite Flaming Lips album and certainly the most overrated in my opinion. Everything since Clouds Taste Metallic has been boring, with the exception of Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, which had some good tracks.

My word, that Eclipse cover is awful.

Actually, I would think that it would be easier to revise someone else's stuff instead of your own. As a writer, I find it much easier to recreate or reimagine others' works, whereas I have not yet successfully revised one of my own creative pieces

Well, I'm thumbin' through it right now. Nothing ground breaking or life changing, but pretty interesting....

It's kind of weird... I'm finding myself liking some songs on this version better than I did on the original, but there are ones I'm not getting into yet. For example: Great gig in the sky is probably my least favorite song on the original album (Don't get me wrong, it's a wonderful song, but it's just one more step in between me and Money ) but I'm really REALLY liking the FL's version.

I am so confused!
