Earless Dog..I can understand you not immediately liking them. For most of us fans, Five Iron's music was amazing from start to finish, and we grew to appreciate them more and more with each album. And for some of us, Five Iron was a huge part of our growing up...so Nostalgia is a apart of it

"Every New Day" is still one of the most emotionally/spiritually moving songs for me.

It was a bunch of really down to earth guys and gal that really had a heart for their ministry. They had fun, but really were theologically sound and very hard-hitting on pretty touchy stuff for Christians. Musicality aside, I would venture to say that there isn't really a good comparison in CCM today for what they established.

I'd go even as far to say that I don't honestly think there will ever be a good CCM comparison for what they established. Truly a band that no one else has ever matched. And also truly a band that cannot be stuffed into one genre, and left there. All bands say "Well, we're kind of unique, and can't really be pigeon-holed..." With FIF, it was the truth.

So... headcount for the Fun Pack (yes it's a fun pack, not fan pack, checked it twice, I was that bored.) is 6 or 7ish for our boards alone, is that all? I thought CGR woulda purchased at least 1/10th of them.

Seriously, "every new day" is one of the best songs I have ever heard.

I know this is late, but I just noticed this thread and saw this... I was always under the impression that dissing FIF WAS a bannable offense. Now, I'm no lawyer, but this law degree here says that Derek now owes the plaintiff, ie me, the sum of 40 trillion dollars and is to be banned immediately.

I ordered the Fun pack, even though their largest shirt available is too small for me. (It's okay, I am shrinking.)

Personally I would check out electric boogaloo 2 and our newest album ever first to get a little of the spectrum.

You are my new best friend! i dont like ska, but i LOOOOVEE Five Iron! I dont have favorites really but if im forced to pick one(for any subject:food, color, whatever) five iron is the answer. the end is near is my favorite by them! crud i picked a favorite. On distant shore is a great last song cuz its pretty much an expansion of every new day.
Cant wait to get the dvd!
