#1 | | Registered User | Windows question I'm very used to linux and Windows 2000/XP, not so much to Vista/7. My antivirus is set to scan every morning very early while I am sleeping. My computer goes into "sleep" mode automatically overnight. This causes my virus scan to not happen until I wake up, which means I either have to stop the scan (which is what I normally do) or deal with an hour of my computer being mind-numbingly slow. I used to know how to make my computer NOT automatically go to sleep, and, in fact, continue to use as much power as possible because that's how I roll, but in Windows Vista/7 (the latter of which I use), I have absolutely no clue how to do this. Anyone know where this option is?

| Hey RubberChipmunk.
Myself Millermccullum and I read your entire posting. Welcome to the forum RubberChipmunk. You can remove "sleep mode of computer " from the following path:
1.Go to Control Panel 2. Select Power Option. 3. Select Hibernate Mode Option. 4. Click on and off sleep-mode.
Anyways Thanks. Stay Connected. |
