They like to get you when you are not expecting it. Didn't you see Zombieland?

I take back what I said about the AI --- they're morons.

Aye. It almost makes you wonder if they did that intentionally to remind "hey, you should be playing this with humans".

Seriously. The AI are good shots, but their complete lack of any intelligence (real or artificial) really does not sing this game's praises... Luckily, you can get past that, and it's still an awesome game.

The Director never did follow any rules. I've seen that same thing happen in the first game when it decided it was time for me to fight a horde. Whatever room is nearby will do as a spawning point.

Man I want to play this.

Got the game for Christmas. Man I really hate the moving crescendo moments. It was so much fun to set up gas cans and propane tanks and plan everything out in the crescendo events of the first game, but now it seems like planning isn't a part of strategy anymore. Also, it seems like if I stand idle for more than like ten seconds the Director sends a new horde and group of special infected at me. I just tried to make it through the last part of the Carnival campaign, but I can't because everyone on my team is an idiot. In the first L4D the comrades were overly helpful, but now they just suck. They are good at killing off the hoard and stuff, but when it comes to the crescendo events they are terrible! They literally stand there in a group and don't move unless I run like a a hundred feet away, which usually results in me getting pounced, charged, and jockied all at the same time. Speaking of Chargers, those things are almost impossible to kill before they reach you. Sometimes it seems like they just teleport across the the area and start pummeling me. And I still don't understand the hierarchy of the new weapons; they don't give any clues as to what guns are better than the others. I find myself wishing I was just playing the first Left 4 Dead.

"My buddy Keith lived in a graveyard once for a whole year -- it wasn't a dare or nothin', he just got kicked out of his house. He said he NEVER saw a single ghost 'cept for this one time when a ghost stabbed him from behind and took all his money, and he might've just been a homeless guy, 'cause he had a robe on with ...two eyes cut out his face."

Ellis makes this game a lot more enjoyable. The other three characters are a bit boring.

Ugh. So my controller doesn't work with microphones, which gets me into frustrating situations like this:

Me and another Guy (who has a microphone) are on a team in a versus match. We both bolt out the safehouse door and I get caught by a smoker. He doesn't see and keeps running. Me and the computer players fight off the special infected while he stands down at the other end of the area. Similar situations keep happening where out of bad luck I get pinned by infected and he just runs off. Eventually two other players join (we'll call them Guy2 and StinksMcGee). StinksMcGee is terrible! I have to save him numerous times while Guy and Guy2 chat on their mics and stick together way ahead of me and Stinks. It actually works out till the final chapter. We are on the bridge level and Stinks gets stuck so I go back to help him, Guy and Guy2 run ahead and since I'm too nice I turn around to help Stinks. I save him and then get pounced by a hunter. Stinks runs off and then gets hit by a smoker. We both die and Guy and Guy2 don't do anything to help us.

The whole time I couldn't hear what they were saying because I didn't have a microphone, and the in-game sound effects mask the voices of your teammates unless you have a mic to listen with. Well after we die it quiets down and I can hear what Guy and Guy2 are saying;

Guy2, "Geez man, our teammates really suck"

Guy, "Yeah, I told you! That throw kid (that would be me) is really terrible. He always gets behind"

Naturally without a mic to defend myself I was left with only one option; I gave them negative player reviews for lacking skill.

Seriously people are aggravating in this game. Still a blast though!

Also, does someone on here have a gamertag named CryCry or something like that? Or HalfDeadHitman?

So I finally played the game tonight with my brother and my cousin. Went through two levels and could've gone through more if my cousin, who bought the game, didn't have to leave.

It was a heck of a lot of fun. I definitely want to get it now.

They're due to put out some DLC soon ish too.

And I'm fairly certain that if you still prefer L4D 1 Valve still has you covered. It's my understanding that they're working on some more DLC for the first game as well.

I have no clue as to how Realism Versus is fun. Maybe it's just cause I was playing with randoms, and this game has the only online community (on 360) that I have a serious problem with.

Really dislike moving crescendo events like bowstaff, and Ellis is the only entertaining survivor. Zoey, Louis and Francis were AWESOME. The only great thing about this game imo is new equipment, mainly melee weapons.

When you call anything with harsh vocals "screamo", it makes as much sense as calling anything with distorted guitar "heavy metal".
