- New special infected really kind of keep you on your toes a bit more. Haven't learned how to deal with them quickly just yet, but I'm sure that'll come with time. Also, the Witch is roving during daytime, so that's doubly terrifying. Also, I initially thought the Spitter would be the most annoying new infected. Turns out that title so far goes to the Charger.
- The Uncommon infected are a nice touch, as well. Little bit harder to kill than your average zombie.
- GORE! Way more gore this time around. Everything you shoot seems to splat and dismember in some way. I'm sure they can explain why everything is way bloodier in the fiction with the infection being fresh and all.
- More guns and grenades. More healing items as well.
- Wall scribblings in the safehouses are still fantastically written and serve to flesh out the universe.
- As much as I want the old characters back, I think Ellis is gonna be my main man in this game. He's pretty rad.
- Everything in the game just looks better. The graphical update they did is very noticeable.
| There doesn't seem to be an Xbox 360 demo out yet . I am saddened.
EDIT: Upon further investigation, apparently I don't get the demo because I didn't pre-order the game . Oh well, it'll be out Nov. 3. |

| THAT"S TODAY!!! =D
On a random note I dropped 560 points for crash course. It's really fun.
But it'd be so much better if those seven bucks weren't haunting me. Get it if you really love the game. Otherwise wait for L4D2. |

| Definitely planning on hitting that demo today, and I pre-ordered L4D2 yesterday! Excitement!!!
Anyone want to do a run-through of a campaign or two when it comes out? |

| Yep, I played through the demo again today as well. Pretty awesome. Very nearly got owned by a well placed Tank towards the middle part of the second act. Took me and Coach down almost instantly.
And I am absolutely 100% down with going through a campaign or two... If you were to get it on PC... |

I think I got almost demolished by that same Tank (well, same placement, anyway). Was it in the open area with the hedge maze? |

| I haven't played the demo yet, but I will definitely be down for running through the campaigns.

| I can't get the demo cause I don't have Gold I guess it should be up for everyone later though.
Hopefully I can A) find a decently priced copy of this in the next month and B) get Live over the holiday break.

When you call anything with harsh vocals "screamo", it makes as much sense as calling anything with distorted guitar "heavy metal". |

Dragon Age will still be there later when it's cheaper and I'm done with Mass Effect 2.
I played the L4D2 demo and I must say that I did not enjoy the melee weapons. The idea seems kind of cliche to me, as well as overpowered. I much prefer the pistols. Also, I'm hoping in the real game the names of the weapons show up when you look at them because I wasn't sure which one was more powerful than the other. I didn't enjoy playing in daylight either. I was under the impression that during the daytime the witch would just be running around, but she acts pretty similar to the witch at night except that she stands instead of laying down. And she was harder to find in the daytime.
I'm still going to get the game because I have a $20 gift card to Toys R Us, but I'm hoping the game lives up to the expectations.

| If the ally AI wasn't TERRIBLE this would be an awesome one-player game.
Plus I could care less about turning 180, seriously. Give me squad commands since the AIs never know what to do when it counts.

| I played the demo and was not impressed, seemed very monotonous. I liked some aspects of the gameplay - helping pick up others, friendly fire (realism), landscape, etc. but ultimately for me the demo comprised of shooting everything and keep running. that gets old quick - but it was only a demo and not necessarily a full taste of all the game has to offer. |

| That pretty much sounds like Left 4 Dead. If you don't love killing zombies the game can get old.

I had a problem in L4D with the computer players being so good that I couldn't even see special infected before the computer shot them. This seemed even more heightened in the L4D2 demo; there were parts where I could literally stand there and the computer players would kill all the zombies. In fact I only got seriously injured when I was goofing off in the game. A zombie game should be set up so that you barely make it out alive, not with 90% health.

| Let's see:
-I've gotten incapped by the tank and Zoey started reviving me with the Tank 15 feet behind her.
-Me and another character were incapped by the tank, and BOTH able survivors went over to revive him. The helicopter comes, they can't revive me with a mass of zombies around, the end.
-6 times out of 10, if a boomer comes around a corner and I move a bit to shove him away, the AIs will shoot him ensuring that I am covered in vomit.
That's just the stuff I remember right now. The main thing for me is how easily squad commands could be integrated. The characters all ready say stuff like "You should heal up" or "Come check this out!", why not the ability to ask them to throw a pipebomb, or regroup with the person talking?
