Here are some juicy excerpts: Liberal bias has become the single biggest distortion in modern Bible translations Express Free Market Parables; explaining the numerous economic parables with their full free-market meaning Exclude Later-Inserted Liberal Passages: excluding the later-inserted liberal passages that are not authentic, such as the adulteress story liberals will oppose this effort, but they will have to read the Bible to criticize this Socialistic terminology permeates English translations of the Bible, without justification. This improperly encourages the "social justice" movement among Christians.

| Umm... after reading... I honestly have no words. I am not dumber for that. I would prefer to be kicked in the head before reading that again.

| Wow. That really hurt to read.
I like the part about how there is no current version of the Bible that is not dumbed down. What is so wrong with dumbing it down? After all, even the newspapers are dumbed down so more people can read them. (And for good measure, Firefox tells me dumbed is misspelled and therefore not a word.)

| I am so confused. how is "government" a pro-liberal concept? Quote: |
this would debunk the pervasive and hurtful myth that Jesus would be a political liberal today
| this is simultaneously my favorite/least favorite part. there are so many things wrong with this statement!
and um...social justice? 1. how is that the same thing as socialism (I can see where they are very similar, but this seems to equate the two), and 2. how can anyone who has read any part of the Scriptures at all say that God is NOT pro-social justice?
all I can say is...this is going to be very harmful to the church. and I'm kind of angry right now! |

Are they trying to put politics in to religion?
I don’t think god gives a damn what side of the government we are on he is not liberal or pro or anti anything
Politics are beneath god |

| Haha, that made me laugh. I would be surprised if anyone took this seriously enough to hurt the church. |

And that is one of the big things a lot of people don’t like about the church
They way I see it

| This is a joke... right?
I had no idea the Bible was so full of liberal bias and propaganda the ensuing debate would flesh out -- and stop -- the infiltration of churches by liberals pretending to be Christian
Seriously, you have to watch out for those liberals who pretend to be Christians so they can infiltrate churches...
Sorry, one more and I'm done. I like the definition of "Liberal" given on the website: A liberal (also leftist) is someone who rejects logical and biblical standards, often for self-centered reasons. There are no coherent liberal standards; often a liberal is merely someone who craves attention, and who uses many words to say nothing. Liberalism began as a movement for individual liberties, but today is increasingly statist, and in Europe even socialistic.
* The long romance of Western leftists with some of the bloodiest regimes and political movements in history is a story not told often enough ...[1]
There's the Christian spirit!
Glad to see they measure up to the moral high ground they like to claim (the website that is, not conservatives in general!)
Personally I think this Wiki is much more fun and informative:

Sadly some churches will actually buy into this blasphemy. This would rival the Jehovah Witnesses "New World Translation" as the the worst bible version available to the public. |

| More interesting to me is to read the actual translation attempts ( Conservative Bible - Conservapedia) linked to in the page, rather than the translation principles they have set forth.
Yes, the NIV is terrible. The New Living Translation corrects almost all of the errors they mention, without having such a biased set of principles. It's fast becoming my favorite translation.

| just the fact that their first proposal to fix the problem is based on the KJV and not the manuscripts means they are idiots.
this is one of the dumbest things I have come across in a long time. |
