So I'm at work listening to Mozart's Requiem. It amazes me and brings me to tears at the same time. Truly a wondrous piece. I can't wait to sing it on the 19th.

Old thread I know, but I played Mozart's requiem with my orchestra in high school and it is absolutely beautiful.

I would also highly recommend the Rutter Requiem and the Faure requiem

if I ever die fabulously wealthy, I want an orchestra and choir to perform the entire rutter requiem at my funeral.

my favorite movement by far...Lacrimosa...it is just sooooo amazing...to bad he died while writing it :P

that's a very moving part. I remember choking back a tear when we got to that part of the performance. The whole piece is really quite amazing. Dies Ire is also a good part.
