Open up just about any overdrive pedal and you will most likely find a variant of a Tube Screamer. It's the same with Fuzz pedals. Especially in the "boutique" pedals. | Rats are becoming more common, big muffs are seen, but dozens of pedals are cloned, but tubescreamers are so common its not even funny.

| People tend to pay for clones as a step up in quality, not a step down in price.

FYI posters looking for clones, Eric here makes killer pedals.

The obvious ones are:
V-Tone Acoustic Drive DI ADI21 = Tech 21 something (Para Driver I think)
V-Tone Bass BDI21 = Tech 21 Bass Driver DI
Chorus Space C = Boss Dimension-C (an old school Boss pedal no longer made)
Blues Overdrive BO100 = Boss BD-2
Dynamics Compressor DC9 = MXR Dyna Comp
EQ700 = GE-7
Hell-Babe Wah = Dunlop 535Q
Phaser PH9 = MXR Phase 90
Slow Motion SM200 = Boss SG-1 Slow Gear (another discontinued classic)
Vintage Time Machine = EHX Deluxe Memory Man
That's just a small sampling. From what I can tell they pretty much cloned every Boss pedal and many of the classics from MXR, Ibanez and EHX. |

| Biyang pedals are clones, I believe. They are cheap and have metal cases too! |

It's a decent quality sound, but the box feels like low-grade plastics. It makes the Danelectro mini pedals look indestructible. |

Not only reliability but quality as well.. Speaking from experience I had one of their tuners, worst tone sucking POS I've ever owned. It broke alright, several buttons fell off...
A friend of mine bought a few of their pedals... They all sound awful, really just terrible...

| It's worth it to save up a little more and get a decent quality pedal. Especially if you are gigging with it. |
