| Piercing & Jewelry Mega Thread We have a tattoo thread, now show off your holes! ...no, not those. Your artifically-made ones. I have three in each lobe, the bottoms stretched to 6g, two cartilage piercings in my right ear, a rook (cartilage) piercing in my left, and my nose. I've had my labret pierced once (and still have a nasty scar - sigh), eyebrow pierced twice (which rejected/migrated both times) and this is the second time I've had my rook done (migrated the first time). Here's a picture of my fresh rook, about fourteen hours old. |

| dead thread is dead.
updating this beast. I'm stretching up! 4g spirals put in two days ago. My ears are fully stretched now - got them all the way in. These pictures are from yesterday. Once these heal in about a month or so, I'm going up to 2g. |

| Nice!
My bro was going to get a pair like that (he was at 7/16) but then his gf's dad told him that "I hate all that tribal ****" so he had to close em up to a 4g
Here is what they looked like at their largest.

Jewelry stuff: maybe the minimalist look is best, a stud or two....

Hi, I think it's best to go for the earring thing; get a few earrings first, before ever anyone considers getting into sth more 'bold' like a tattoo.
You never know; you might be satisfied with the earrings only...

#7 | | is not really purple. | i have 2 in each lobe, one in each ear is gauged to 6. i'm not planning on going any bigger. and my second in each lobe is at 16. i also have my upper right cartilage pierced at 14.
i'm planning on getting a third (at 16g) in each lobe so i can put a seemless hoop from the second to the third.
I'll post pics later when i'm at home.

#8 | | is not really purple. | depends on what part of your ear. in the lobe it doesn't matter. but in the cartilage i prefer needle. i've heard that a gun can shatter your cartilage.

I see, thnx, so from what you say, you seem to have done both.
I guess that I was thinking of lobes, but yes I can see that for cartilage the gun could be problematic, expecially if the angle isn't just right.
Sounds like you have a few piercings, then.

Yes, I think you are wise not to go too big with your gauging; otherwise when you want to take them out the holes may not shrink again.
While doubles in the lobes are certainly classy for a lady, I guess that the extent to whether triples will "work", too, depends sometimes on how big the doubles are gauged...
(But what do I know...)

Well, yes, they're nice, aren't they. And is that really a big bare hole in your lower lobe earring? If so, must have given you at least some sense of achievement, when you managed it. (And I guess the other side the same too.)
Sounds like you find piercing quite satisfying, anyway. And I think you said you're not done yet. (Anyway, like I said, some ppl are content enough with enhacing their piercings that they never feel the need to get into a tattoo, as well.)
