Lots of folks seem to have had them for over 10 years, according to the poll, so far...

I did my left one first, and the right one like a while later. To be fair, I would've been super miserable doing them at the same time, motorcycle helmet + piercings = owww.

I started with a 14ga, and then in like 2006 I went to a 10.

Mine are tension set with a small ball bearing type thing, so they don't come out. Ever.

Well, actually it's just that it requires tools to pop the bead, so other than when I had the first set (which were smaller and I could do without tools) I haven't had them out since.

I keep two (one in each ear) in most of the time. I have three holes in my left ear but usually use just the bottom one.

I see; both ears...

Yes, keeping rings/studs in BOTH ears seems to have become established as the widespread practice for men who have their ears pierced, and not just one ear, as it often used to be, right?

I don't really know. I've had my ears pierced for quite a while now.

What's with all the questions...if you don't mind me asking?

Not trying to be difficult...just wondering. So far you've started a thread on tats and now piercings. I was wondering if you're researching them or just curious.

about 2 years now. I really don't like em.

I also do a little bit of youth work that borders on bouncing at times, so there is no way you could get me to put something like that in my face.
