| Supernatural Anyone else on CGR a fan of the CW's Supernatural? A friend at school got me into it, and I've been watching in realtime since Season 3 - it's probably my favorite show on TV right now.

| woot! Did you watch the premiere? I'm excited for ep. 2 tonight, even though because I'll have to get it from the internets, I probably won't get to watch it till tomorrow.
If you have twitter, by the way, you should definitely follow Misha Collins (he plays the angel Castiel). He's possibly insane, definitely hilarious. (it's a real account, too, he's confirmed it in interviews etc). Reading some tweets is like reading some bizarre humor novel.

| Any thoughts on Thursday's episode? I would have posted this sooner but I don't have internet and I was kind of busy this weekend...
I personally didn't like it as well as the premiere. It was nice to see the Harvelles (sp?) return. Castiel using the cellphone (and his non-understanding of sarcasm) was the comic highlight, for me, and his quest to find God I expect will be really interesting. I'm slightly apprehensive to see what direction they go with the whole God thing. I read an interview with Eric Kripke where he said that God will definitely be a player this season - we probably have already seen his influence, bringing Castiel back and whatever the heck happened with that airplane scene in the premiere, but I really don't have a clue how they plan to bring him in as a major player.

| The whole line with God will be interesting. Especially if he is a major player. It's hard for me to imagine anything other than God snapping his fingers and then Lucifer and all the demons are wiped out of existance and things are back to normal. Maybe that is how the series will end. |

| For those who still give a care
Session six came on on Friday
its got a new person leading the way so it is deferent
anyways
here is my take on the episode
It's deferent
the story is a "rebort"
its not the same show in a way
but i think its for the better
anyways on the forms i posted this Spoil Okay first, all of you who say it was bad, you have a right to think that and I could care less if you liked it or not.
Anyways, some problems with the episode you guys had.
Please note that this is no way meant to be taken as true, this is just some guess i thew together and what I get form this
I am a writer so I have experience in what is “A good story”
I’m not saying I’m the best and I am awesome but i do know what it takes even if i don’t have it :P:
the whole not exploring Sam thing\not the epic beginning
in many shows the start of the season is the “begging of a new story”
new story’s can be told many deferent ways, for instance
the episode where Dean comes back that was a “action?” beginning
the writers wanted to go off right away and have something unexplained. The new write more then likely saw that making Sam come out of hell and doing the same thing as Dean did would be copying and lose the effect,if every one comes out of hell for the same reason it loses its meaning.
the whole “family thing”
think about it, the whole show is about family, the first season the looked for their dad,
2nd one they kill yellow eyes, (I think that was season two might be there, never saw the episodes in order form S1, 2 and 3)the third they have the whole family is destined thing
fourth one they are “chosen”, they are the rebirth of the two angles brothers who always fight Gabriel and Lucifer, any person who knows Christin lore can tell you about Christ being the “remake of Adam”
This whole show is about a family, a family that is cussed and destined to either destroy the world or save it.
They cant live normal liefs, their mother tried she got killed now Dean, (who is like his mother but followed his dads ways) is trying the same thing
As for the Campbell’s (other then the fact my girl friends last name is that :P)
they are… a bit off, but thats the idea, i have some theory’s as to what is going on,my main one is this
the new person in charge knows the whole thing with “a demon” is over done and that it
got kind of boring
besides after you do Satin the “king of demons” you cant really do much more
whats worse then stooping Lucifer ?
of course they could bring him back which would work how ever a new demon being more dangerous then satin is kind of meh
how ever i have not seen enough to guess as to what they plan
I use to “write” some off story’s they could do
for season six (back before i know there would be one)
and my favorite was that there was now a half angle and half demon
so the normal ways of hurting it would not be as effective
anyways I’m not advertising my bad writing,
I’m just showing unless something unexpected happing
then a demon is not the way to go
I’m thinking more of the lines of grandpa is the bad guy or at least works for the bad guy
now lets do some of the Character’s
Dean
First off, I do not believe Dean is the “main character” I do believe that he is the “emotion one” which is why they follow him for this episode
this one was not a “action one”
it was more of a prequel to a awesome story
it tells how they get started on their way to fight the forces of hell (or words to that effect)
in season one Dean was what Sam is, (maybe not to that extent but hey going tough hell is no picnic) they followed Sam a lot more in terms of “emotion” and Dean in terms of “show up, find the case, kill it, sleep with a girl, leave”
that Dean was awesome I agree, but this Dean shows what literary living in hell and what life dose to you
he went form being cocky and thinking he is untouchable (don’t we all in are youth?)
to being someone who knows a lesson every one has to learn: life sucks
Bobby said it best “the closet thing Ive seen to happiness”
Life sucks its not perfect and there are things in the dark we try to hide form (like how bad shape the world is in, or how wars affect other country’s)
so that is how I see dean being “normal”
he is the person who is learning the world is messed up
Sam
Sam went in to hell, not only that he was satin in hell, he was destined to have ultimate evil in him, thats not just something you can “walk away” from with out being changed by the experience,
so yes dean was in longer, but Sam had it worse, not because of time or because of how he was treated but of all the things “he” did. (satin did who was “Sam’s puppet” master if you will)
Grandpa
I don’t like him, don’t get me wrong, the character is great or at least in last seasons , I don’t like grandpa in the way i think “he is the bad guy”
back to the plots
lets end with a bang
The whole Sam\Dean story
First off, this was seen form a mile away by season 2\3.
I always thought Sam would be like Dean and Dean would be Sam, I have a brother and we are kind of like those two, I’m carrying he is not,
but i noticed in the last few years we have grown apart and he is more caring and im more not.
It’s a very normal thing for brothers to have to go though ,
count the fact that their dad was never there and nor was their mother, they where both there for each other, now they are old enough to be by them selfs. They have to go their separate way’s, they became closer then almost any one can but now they need to be them selfs, they are still brothers that will never change
how ever they are no longer dependent on each other.
(as in they cant live with out the other)
i imagine Sam needs Dean
and Dean needs Sam
but more of a brotherly way then a physical need
for one another.
in short (and to stop my ranting)
this season is about them becoming “them selfs” and not only complete when they other is near.
In short this season is not going to be a whole
“the bad demon we have to kill”
this season is not going to be
“I’m back form the dead the umpteenth time because i have to fight satin” (as far as i can tell)
in short
those who said so are right
this is not the supernatural
you loved, but give it time and i got a feeling it will be even better
so no its not S1,S2,S3,S4,S5
its not the same story
its not the same show
its Supernatural 2.0

| I thought it was a good episode, but not the most spectacular season premiere. I spoke briefly with someone I work with who watches the show and he felt the same way. There was some promising setup, though. I'm not sure what to make of the grandfather capturing the djinn. My guess is he is going to interrogate her about the weirdness going on. |

| I haven't watched the premiere yet (I know, I know, but I had master's comprehensive exams so that's my excuse!)
But from what I've heard, it's a bit of a hearkening back to season 1. Which I think is probably a good thing, as I feel like it got a little epic in the last couple seasons. It'll be nice to go back to the days when they were just traveling around killing monsters.
And the season 5 finale was so sad, I'm kind of glad that they didn't end the show on that note (though I wouldn't have put it past Eric Kripke)

it was very "biblical"
which makes me wonder, is this going to be satin "locked away for seven years or something and then return and then Apocalypse (seven changed to a year or two i guess)
the thing is that with Eric kippke
i would have bet all i had this is what he would have done
I really don't know this new person (as in how she will handle being the "boss")
She may go a deferent way (i hope she dose)
either way she has made it her own
and i think that is a great feet in of its self |
