Rackmount and pedalboard

A friend recently gave me a rackmount unit. It's an ART Multiverb Alpha processor, and I hope to use it for chorus, flange and reverb. How should I place this in my chain with a pedalboard? Before or after, or is it not that easy?

My first choice would be in the amp effects loop.

don't have an effects loop. I use a late '60's single channel tube amp.

In that case, after your board.

OK, I'll try it out at rehearsal tomorrow and see if I like using it or if it's more of a pain in the butt than it's worth. Thanks.

You might need a looper or something to switch it in and out of the chain if it's line level and making a lot of noise

Since people have already mentioned that you can put this before the amp, the truth is time-effects just don't work as well before the preamp. Well, to be more specific, Flange and Chorus will work fine before the preamp if that's what you prefer, but its the reverb I'm not so certain about. I'm going to go ahead and offer a different solution, which would be modifying the amplifier to have an effects loop. Honestly, this shouldn't be a difficult thing, any tech could probably do it, and you probably could too if you know how to safely work with amplifiers and solder and can alter the chassis to have two extra jacks. It doesn't even need to be buffered. Just put it in parallel to your signal path and you won't interrupt anything when you don't have effects plugged in there.
