| I've given his new show an honest chance, and honestly I can't say it's enjoyable. There are a few laughable moments, and of course Headlines is always going to be hilarious, but some of his guest spots have been disappointing/lame (Pee-Wee Herman...really!?), and most of the up-and-coming comics he tries to include are not very funny at all.
My wife thinks he's no longer having fun. The other night we watched Jay and then Conan, and the difference was very noticeable.

But its in a weird format, it seems very thrown together. I hope he gets some more "a-list" celebs, but I don't know that that would happen. And I also wish he'd have musical guests at the end. Oh well.
But you're right...Pee-Wee Herman?! That exactly what I was thinking: "Pee-Wee Herman? Really Jay? Pee-Wee Herman?" |

| I've actually been enjoying his show. I've missed that past week of them, but the several i've seen, I thought, were pretty decent. I really think his stupid "eco car race track" thing is an extremely week spot on the show though.

| Bill Hicks was right about Leno.
He has sold his soul to the network of NBC and lost any enjoyment his life could hold. Watching him makes this obvious.

| I don't really enjoy the show that much. The timeslot just seems odd for a talk show.
I think the real reason NBC is attempting this is all about money (isn't it always) The production costs for one hour of talk is much, much less than 5 other one-hour dramas like ER, or Law and Order. The only way to actually sell ad time to compensate for those dramas, is if they garner high enough ratings, to be able to charge advertisers premium rates.
I really think the whole expierment will likely run maybe two years, and then they will alter their lineup of prime time shows.

| Bingo!
NBC being the loser in ratings now, I think they were trying something different. After the success of variety shows like America's Got Talent, perhaps they thought they would try another retro thing with prime-time talk. I, for one, find it boring beyond anything.
