| Unique ideas for utilizing the special features of the SBN Trinity pedal. So I will be the proud owner of this fine piece of sexiness on Thursday or Friday (thanks Corndog!) and I've just been thinking about unique ways to use the Send/Return features.
I thought it would be cool for the other owners to post unique things they've used the feature for and with what success. Feel free to post ideas for other people to try out as well.
Right now I've got one idea floating around in my head. Guitar>Trinity>Send1>L Jack on tc electronics nova delay ...... and the other half of the signal would be from the Trinity> Volume Pedal> R Jack on nova delay.
I'm wondering if this would make it possible for me to use the volume pedal to adjust the dry/wet between my clean and overdrive sounds. I just don't know how the nova delay would handle a stereo input, as I would plan on going with a mono output. Any thoughts?
And please post your own experiments! |

| There's nothing very clever about this but I use a Lil Eagle in the first loop between the OD and distortion. I stack the two ODs and usually use the distortion for a lead boost. Sounds killer. |

| This is fairly old, (to a point...) but since I'm about to own one of these as well, I'm curious. And since not many people replied, this will open up a chance for people to answer

| I was disappointed that I never found anything super creative to do with these loops.. I would definitely suggest running your fulldrive in the first loop, Isaac. Big difference. Once I did that, I shied away from the boost on my fulldrive and used the Trinity's boost instead.
The fulldrive's boost is after the OD, so it sounded (to my ear) a lot better using the Trinity's. |

| I'm hoping more people will see this and post what they do with it. I just have no doubt that there are tons of sweet things to do with this, you just gotta get creative.
I think the first thing I shall do is no doubt throw the fulldrive 2 into the first loop.

| I got it today. 3 things. 1. The boost sounds absolutely GORGEOUS. 2. The other two pedals sound amazing as well, especially with my FD2 in the loop. 3. I am head over heels in love with this pedal.

| One thing I like doing is shorting the Input/output (a small cable connecting the two), then plugging the guitar into "Return 2" and the output to amp from "Send 2"
What this does is reorder the effects.. instead of Boost>OD>Dist it's now Dist>Boost>OD. This allows me to use the boost in a couple different ways. It allows me to blast the amp, or feed into the OD. But it also allows me to boost the distorted signal without it getting muddy (the boost feeding into the Dist is not my favorite by a long shot... it gets really compressed and sonically full). |

I am head over heels in love with this pedal. | If you are running the guitar straight into the Trinity, turn the buffer on, the OD sounds so much better that way, at least to my ears, where I have the controls set, and with my stuff. If you have a buffering (non-true bypass) pedal in front of it, it isn't necessary. It seems to be a quirk of the OD that it needs a buffered signal to sound its best.
I like Gustin's suggestion, I think that's the sort of thing Eric had in mind when he put that feature in there.
One idea I had was to add an expansion box on the side of it, with 2 foot switches wired as on/off for the loops.
You can use one of the sends to split the signal and create another path, like for another amp, effects chain, or to feed that tone-sucking tuner. You may need to plug a "dummy" plug into the return, eric said that the "loop doesn't turn on until insert a cable into the return". The signal needs to be buffered before splitting so as not to load down yer pickups. I can't remember, but the signal may be phase reversed by the OD...? which would be loop 2... or maybe its the distortion that reverses the phase....? Eric could answer that.
