| nice...if Those SVT4's are nice if you can afford it.
I have a B2R and love the tone, but needed more power. I discovered that the cab makes all the difference. I was using an 8 ohm Hartke cab with 1 15 and 2 8's. I had to run the gain on 5 and the master on 10 to get it to kick.
But then I tried a 4 ohm Mesa/Boogie cab with 2 15's and whoah, Nelly! It now utilizes all of the 350 watts where an 8 ohm cab would only use 200. Now, with the gain on 4 and the master on 3, it will blow your doors off. I can't see the need to go with anything more powerful than this. No soundman would have it and you'd blow your bandmates off the stage being much louder.
I love this thing! It gets the fat low end AND the mid punch w/ high end clarity. Good speakers make all the difference, too. These are 600 watt EV's. I tried a Kustom 15" and it sounded terrible. |
