Shane Doan definitely deserves everything he gets and more.

| Because I am whole heartedly against American franchises being set up where it makes no sense to set them up.
Nashville, Atlanta, Florida, San Jose, Minnesota . . .
Some work out fine, Minnesota seems to be ok.

The fact is, San Jose gets some of the best fan support in the league. If a team is in a place where they can get some support, what is the problem? |

| Hehe,
I just said that to see your reaction, including making the list.
Forgive me, fans of these teams. I may dislike these teams but I have nothing against them as franchises. I just felt like portraying a little Avery here . . .
I've been raised to hate the expansion teams, it's taking a little while for me to accept them. Though I still am unsure about the teams with no fanbase, such as Florida.

Nashville, Atlanta, and Florida are another story altogether. When Florida makes the playoffs this year, though, they'll do better in that department.

Did they even make playoffs last year? I can't remember.

The NHL has had some remarkable successes in warmer climates, such as San Jose. What is required is success. Tampa Bay did quite well during their Stanley Cup season and for a bit after it. Unfortunately, they were completely mis-handled by ownership and management and have fallen apart. The fans have left as well. San Jose, on the other hand, has been steady and consistent in putting together winning seasons and has gained a solid fanbase.
Toronto, on the other hand, which is in the most hockey-mad area in the entire NHL has had tickets selling for half-price because of their early lack of success this season. Vancouver, when they had several seasons in the late-90's of mediocre hockey, did very poorly at the gate, only getting things turned around when the West Coast Express line of Morrison, Naslund, and Bertuzzi started lighting up the scoresheet. The Canucks put together several solid seasons and have won back their fanbase.
Don't be so quick to jump on the expansion franchises; it's the lack of success on the ice that contributes the most to their lack of success off the ice. |

| Come on, can't a guy express himself? I am very aware of how San Jose sells out more games than many other NHL teams these days, and I am also aware of the Tampa situation. I was just 'talking smack' about some teams, isn't that what hockey fans do?

San Jose gave up two quick goals to the Rangers, then went to work. 6-3 final. Sharks first visitors to win in the Garden this year. |

Bruins tackle the Predators today, hopefully they can play some hockey and pull this off.

I believe the appropriate response is, "No, your team sucks!"
