As a Canucks fan, that makes me happy. | That game was unbelievable.

As a Canucks fan, that makes me happy. | Watching Kipprusoff skate of was magnificent.
The Sharks and Coyotes played 0-0 all the way to a shootout. The Sharks lost the shootout 2-1. Ugh. Nabby was phenomenal. |

| And what about the Kings? They were my breakout pick a year ago, but didn't get the goaltending. If Quick is for real, and we'll find out pretty... fast..., I have no doubt the Kings will be in the playoffs.

You know, the Kings (around here anyway) are the forgotten team on the NHL. NO ONE around here acknowledges them, in fact I never here any highlights of them or anything even on sportscenter. It's strange, and I've been saying that for years and it always seems to be like that.
I wouldn't mind seeing them in the playoffs again, it's been quite a while.

| I love Jon Quick, largely because of his awesome name (Jonny Quick!) but partly because he's a quite decent goalie. |

| This is a bad time for me to enter this thread but...
After a club record-tying 4-0 start my Flames are looking really bad. We are notorious for bad starts, so hopefully it will go away. I just need to stay optimistic, right? I REALLY hope we can pull it together very soon... |

I don't think there's anyone who thought the Flames were as good as their 4-0 record suggested. That's part of the reason the 6-5 loss to the Blackhawks was so sweet - the irony is great.

| Man, my Bruins are having nearly as good as a start to the season as I had been anticipating. I got ahead of myself this time, I've been bragging about how they are going to pummel everyone right off the bat. 2-3 isn't a very good starting record. I don't know what's up with Timmy, he hasn't had very good games.

| Thomas will turn it around. He's too much of a competitor to let this slide go on for too long. |

There are no excuses that can be made for how the Leafs are playing. The supposedly vastly improved defense is worse than it was last year, making Ron Wilson's three-way juggling act in goal look even worse than it actually is. Toskala may have played the best out of all three of them, but he's still being panned. He hasn't been good, but it's hard to be good when your team is playing that badly in front of you. I'd like to see Wilson put his foot down and say "Toskala is going to play the next 10 games no matter what" and let them work from there, but Wilson is far too much under the influence of the media here in Toronto. Yanking Toskala to put in Gustavsson after one bad period so that Gustavsson could give up three more goals to Washington? Great movie, Ronnie. I have lost all respect that I ever had for this guy.
On the bright side...
...
...
I'll let you know when I come up with something.
