| I pretty much agree with the lack of suspension. It was a late hit, so a fine might have been in order, but that was just a guy finishing a shoulder check. Booth should have been paying more attention and I really hope he's alright and that he recovers quickly. More egregious, in my mind, is slew footing and clipping. Clipping is when a person drops a hip check low enough to take out the knees first and it can easily end a career. Chimera, this weekend, was lucky to escape without serious injury. |

| Well you knew it was going to happen sometime...
My boy Stajan got three assists, Hagman had a hat-trick... Gustavsson kept them alive. We've still got a ways to go in our own end, but we're playing with a little more urgency now.
Yes, Anaheim helped us out a lot with the penalties.
But we WON!

| No kidding...there were three 5-on-3 powerplays for the Leafs. That's ridiculous. That said, they did convert on them, so you have to give them credit. Indeed. |

| The Toronto Raptors have played one game...and already have the same number of wins as the Toronto Maple Leafs. |

The Leafs were ever so close last night. Francois Beauchemin decided to take on Mike Komisarek's role and deflect a shot going wide into the top corner with his skate. No, really. He moved his skate and deflected a wrist shot from the point into the top corner.

| The Bruins win, then they lose, then they win, then they lose.
I miss Savard.

#147 | | Cool enough Administrator | Sharks looked good against Colorado last night. Anderson's a heck of a goalie. |

#148 | | O.o | Shockingly, the Wild's first road win comes against Pittsburgh, only because of Backstrom though. |

| In Roberto Luongo's absence, Andrew Raycroft is playing like...Andrew Raycroft. His first start was stunning, making 30 saves on 31 shots. He follows that up with a stinker, giving up 4 goals on 22 shots and getting pulled in the third period. Last night, he bounced back with a shutout against the Avalanche.
Rick Rypien pulled off a sweet move last night as well. He's becoming known for being a scrappy fighter willing to take on all comers, but he also is a great skater. His go-to move is the spin-o-rama, and he completely undressed a Colorado defenseman, stopping suddenly with the spin-o-rama at top speed before going inside-outside on him and getting off a great shot on Anderson. He also got an assist on Tanner Glass's first goal as a Vancouver Canuck. Mason Raymond and Ryan Kesler provided the other scoring the Canucks. |
