Security and Medicare and the need to deal with them and he was roundly booed by the Democrats. The Dems started with sitting down and not clapping at points in a speech so now it is part and parcel. Just like the counter state of th eunion speeches by the minority party- Starterd when Reagan was Pres and now part and parcel in politics.

I never understand this "well they did it first so that justifies us doing it now" mentallity in politics. It's like kindergarden all over again. Just because the kid next to you is eating his glue doesn't make it ok for you to do it too

Well if his speech becomes the plan- that will be very good, but if it is HR 3200 it is an abomanation.

He won't save as much as he thinks in medicare waste- but even if he reduces fraud and waste by 30% he will have done more than any president since medicare was started.
