A single vote can tip the scales... Thanks a lot!

(I actually don't think GWB was an awful President, however, so maybe I should say it's okay?)

Last election I voted in was last month's primary in King County, Washington State, and the last person I voted for on that ballot was Rob Holland for Port of Seattle Commissioner.

That's OK. I voted for Barack, absentee, in a congressional district that hasn't elected a Democrat to any state or Federal office since before the Civil War.

If I had been old enough I would have so tried to get Fred Thompson to be the Republican nominee for the 2008 presidential ticket. It would have been REALLY COOL if he had gotten the nomination and then picked Sarah Palin for the vice president and then won.

It would have been EXTRA REALLY COOL if he had carried out his entire presidency in character as the guy he played on Law & Order. Imagine it, Sam Waterston as his VP, Angie Harmon as Secretary of State... the possibilities are endless.
