| If I had been old enough I would have so tried to get Fred Thompson to be the Republican nominee for the 2008 presidential ticket. It would have been REALLY COOL if he had gotten the nomination and then picked Sarah Palin for the vice president and then won.

Imagine it, Sam Waterston as his VP, Angie Harmon as Secretary of State... the possibilities are endless.
