this is not good, rumors are bound to get out of hand

I see two possibilities.

1) He was doing something that he shouldn't have and ran because he was scared of being caught.

2) He didn't recognize the police and ran because he was scared that he was getting mugged or something.

One is more tragic than the other, but I think that most people would open fire after he hit one officer with his care and was driving toward another officer.

If you hit an officer with your car... and try to drive off...... you're an idiot, and you were probably doing something wrong. I think I'm fairly safe with that generalization....

Yes there are and not many of them appear to look good for the pastor.

What was he doing carting this girl
Why did he bolt?
Why did he hit an officer?

As a man of God He should have been very cooperative with the law in this.

Regardless of whether or not the pastor is at fault (because I'm sure he is to blame for some parts) I feel sorry for his family. How hard it must be to have this happen to begin with, much less with all these questions being left unanswered.

As well as the cop who had to shoot and ultimately kill him. That's going to be with him forever.

What if he just thought he was being attacked and didn't realize that they were police officers?

not if they are waiving guns around. Usually in that kind of a circumstance driving away is a good idea.

I have a really really hard time believing that cops would be waving their guns around without identifying themselves.

Even if they Identified themselves he might have not heard them...

or he may have been running from the cops... It's kinda hard to tell which it is.
