Batman: The Animated Series

After playing the Arkham Asylum demo, I was compelled to buy the first season. Found it on iTunes. I never really realized how well it was done. The musical scores are masterful, the voice acting is some of the best in American cartoon history, the stories are written exceedingly well for a cartoon, and the art is very unique.

I watched it as a kid but now I'm rewatching and may actually be enjoying it more now.

Any other fans?

Few words:

Best Batman cartoon ever.

I remember when Toon Disney was showing reruns last year.

Amazing. The best superhero television show ever. Quite possibly the definitive version of Batman in any medium. None of the other animated superhero series come close, though Justice League Unlimited comes closest.

Right on. I think this is why I'm liking the new Batman videogame so much. You have Mark Hamill, Kevin Conroy, and Arleen Sorkin reprising their roles from the show and Paul Dini writing the script.

EXACTLY

Heath Ledger's Joker isn't half as terrifying or compelling as the one dreamed up by Bruce Timm and co. and brought to life by cinema's own Mark Hamill.

I have made it a priority to watch all the Joker episodes first. A-May-Zing! Mark Hamill did such an amazing job. Not mentioning Kevin Conroy's masterful performance would be a sin as well.. I mean... damn!

Totally. Conroy is Batman. When I read the comics, he's the voice I hear. Same with Hamill's Joker.
