i'm leaving the church.

as a baptist church, we're run by the congregation. the congregation votes. recently, out congregation had this huge vote that basically boiled down to tradition vs. the Bible. tradition won. that's why my pastors left, and that's why i'm leaving. we're a pretty big church (the oldest in our area - Black Creek Baptist Church has been around since 1788!), and all of the people that voted for following the Bible are leaving, and we're starting a new church. this has definitely been in God's plans, because for our summer mission trip we worked with a Virginia-based (i think) company called Mission Plant, and they sent us up to NOVA to build churches. so, right after God shows us how churches are started, He calls us to make a new one. woo! that's why i would pray for. that we do things right. thanks.
