I'm at my in laws and they don't like sports so I will not watch any games -- I'm following the games on line. Here's a few things that jump out at me initially.

Brett Favre opened the season with a win. He didn't throw the ball much but on paper it looks like a pretty solid day. 14/21, 110 yards, 1 TD and 0 int.

Tony Romo looks like he had some big plays. 16/27, 353 yards, 3 TD and 0 int.

McNabb is injured. Does anyone have any more info? Would be kind of funny (not in a humorous way) if he ends up being out for an extended period. Will Vick be the guy?

McNabb cracked a rib.

Farve was okay, but the running game was the story in that game. Man, Peterson is incredible.

It is NOT funny that McNabb might've ruined one of my fantasy teams!

Oh snap.

The 49ers did what I thought they would, and beat the reigning NFC champion Cardinals.

Everybody seems to not understand that if the Niners had beat the Cards on MNF last year, which they VERY nearly did, their records would have been identical. The NFC West is going to be fun this year.

Wow...

I forget that other people are fans of my teams. I'm used to my lone-rangering in the MLB forum about the Rangers.

So...on the Cowboys front.

The defense looked pretty bad. Cadillac Williams looked like a beast. Romo was pretty sloppy, but no real harm was done...he just needs to work out timing with some of his 2nd and 3rd string receivers.

That was the most exciting ending to the most boring game I've ever seen. Wow.

Broncos have a better record than the Titans, Redskins, Bears, Panthers, and Cardinals

Yes I am overreacting. But since I almost positive that this is the only time this year I'll be able to say something good about the Broncos, I'm running with it!

Broncos; 1
Cutler; 0

I'm sure some people will be keeping score on that as well.

For the few remaining Chiefs fans...things seem about the same. I believe things are heading in a positive direction however.

Definitely. Although I'm still more angry at McDaniels for pissing him off in the first place.

Shhh I'm still being happy they actually won...

Although what other use is there for San Diego fans than to rag on the Broncos?

Cheering for the soon-to-be AFC West Champs, of course.

That's going to be a real accomplishment this year. 6-10 should probably do it
