I don't know who thought up the NFL system, but flipping a coin is just wrong.

I did want to add that even though the Chargers lost, I thought they looked MUCH better for most of the game than they have in previous games. I think if they can figure out their pass rush, they'll have a shot at one of the two WC spots.

| Firstly, yipes terrible call there on the tripping penalty for the Vikings and Steelers.
Secondly, how about Alex Smith?

| I can't believe the Cardinals blitz and go with bump and run coverage when the Giants are on their own 2 yard line, down a touchdown, with 2 minutes left.

| I was pleasantly surprised to see how well Michael Crabtree did for the 49ers, especially against a team like the Texans. I bet he gets more touches next week, too. |

#177 | | Cool enough Administrator | The Texans aren't that bad.
Alex Smith was a total shot in the arm. It is not Hill's fault that the offensive line was total crap in the first half. But Alex Smith has the kind of arm that they needed to come back from the big deficit. And hey, if Arnaz Battle doesn't fumble that punt in the second quarter, the 49ers probably win that game.
Crabtree looked really good. I like the way he plays. |

| Well, the Lions didn't play yesturday, so it least they couldn't have lost...
Does anyone seem like there is a lot of really teams in the NFL this year, and a lot of REALLY bad teams like, and fewer "middle of the road" teams? Last year the Lions not winning a game was big, but this year it almost seems likely to me that the Rams won't win one, and I still can't believe that Oakland has two wins..
for instance, the good teams:
New England Patriots 5 2 0
Cincinnati Bengals 5 2 0
Pittsburgh Steelers 5 2 0
Indianapolis Colts 6 0 0
Denver Broncos 6 0 0
New York Giants 5 2 0
Minnesota Vikings 6 1 0
New Orleans Saints 6 0 0
Arizona Cardinals 4 2
the bad teams:
Cleveland Browns 1 6 0
Tennessee Titans 0 6 0
Kansas City Chiefs 1 6 0
Oakland Raiders 2 5 0
Washington Redskins 2 4 0 (mainly because the Lions beat them)
Detroit Lions 1 5 0
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 0 7 0
St. Louis Rams 0 7 0
and everyone else is in the middle. Perhaps this is usually how it happens, but it just seems like, especially this year, there is a huge gap between the good and bad teams. (Like, the Big Ten versus the MAC)

| What happened to the DOlphins in the fourth quarter? As it had been their last two games, they stepped up. i guess that says a lot about the Saints though. I' haven't been more upset about a football game in a long time |

Yes, their offense is fantastic, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them wind up 12-4.
