I'm going to have to throw Demon hunter out there. And they aren't so much metal, but RED.

I love everything from SOD on to their latest record. Saw them live last year for my birthday, incredible live show.

Have you heard that they are working on their 5th one right now?

I know it got recomended already, but Maylene and The Sons of Disaster are great. All 3 of their albums are awesome.

Also, Mortal Treason are great. Sunrise Over a Sea Of Blood is an awesome record.

I've got some

You probably won't like most of these but you don't know till you give em a listen.

Outrun the Gun
MyChildren MyBride
Inhale Exhale
Gwen Stacy
Alove For Enemies
Advent
Sinai beach / Nodes of Ranvier (both are pretty heavy)
Staple (not exactly metal but I love it)
Nema (there are two on Itunes. The christian one has an album entitled "You Could Be All Flame")

Good luck on your search! Hope I helped!

Living Sacrifice
Becoming the Archetype
Oh Sleeper
Norma Jean
August Burns Red
Demon Hunter

Those are a few good ones in approximate order of how much I like them (I do like them all). If you get August Burns Red, make sure you get their new album. Messengers is good but it's all the same and they have like 5 breakdowns in each song. It's the kind of album you love at first but you get sick of it really fast.

Demon Hunter's alright, but I really like Living Sacrifice. This is coming from someone who typically hates metal.

This negatively affected my tone in ways that I just can't describe.
Then, on a whim, a few years ago I wandered into a Bath and Body Works store at a local mall and picked up some of their gentle foaming anti-bacterial hand cleansers.
The difference in my guitar's sound is so wickedly improved that I no longer feel the need to buy a new amp or pedals or even strings...EVER!
So, it's my belief that tone is in the soap.
Thank you and goodnight.

Here's my recommendations. (I tried to pick lesser known bands)

Settle The Sky

YouTube - Settle The Sky-Cheyenne
YouTube - The Gunslinger- Settle The Sky
YouTube - The Relentless- Settle The Sky

They're one of the most underrated Christian metal bands out there. They only have on EP, but IMO they're up there with some of the best Christian metal bands. It's interesting to see how just one EP can blow you away!

Aletheian

YouTube - As The Fall Breaks - Aletheian
YouTube - Aletheian - Out of the Shadows
YouTube - Aletheian - Dying Vine - Broken Legacy

They're another Christian band that doesn't have much material, but I think they're amazing. You might not like them your first couple of listens, but give them a chance, and I think you'll love them. I'd put them up there with some of my favorites.

The Ascendicate (Slipknot anyone?)

YouTube - Fighting Words
YouTube - The Ascendicate - Burden
YouTube - The Ascendicate: Scottish

This is hands down some of my favorite Christian music! They're a great Slipknot alternative. They only have one album, but it's honestly one of my favorite albums. I think they're a great addition to the Christian music industry. They used to be called "The 7 method". It's much harder to find but you might like it too. It's a little bit softer then The Ascendicate.

YouTube - the 7 method - still running
YouTube - the 7 method - Know you more
YouTube - the 7 method - a reason to bleed

Sleeping Giant

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtuFciJiA6w
YouTube - Sleeping Giant - No One Leaves This Room Sick
YouTube - Blame It On The Holy Rollers-Sleeping Giant

Another one of my favorites. They have a great style that I enjoy. I can recommend both of their albums.

Corpus Christi

YouTube - Corpus Christi - "Fight for Your King" Victory Records
YouTube - Corpus Christi - its always been darkest before the dawn
YouTube - Corpus Christi - Marilyn

They're pretty good, not my absolute favorite band, but pretty good. You should check them out if you haven't so already.

Figure Four

YouTube - Figure Four - Hear my words
YouTube - Figure Four - The loss
YouTube - Figure Four - State of mind

They're extremely underrated. The intensity of the music is amazing! It's too bad that they broke up.

Still Remains

YouTube - Still Remains - Stay Captive
YouTube - Still Remains - Sleepless Nights Alone
YouTube - Still Remains - Bed Of Nails

They're a great metalcore band that infuses keyboards into their music, and this makes them fairly unique. The first album is heavier, and the second album has a lot more clean vocals.

Soul Embraced

YouTube - Soul embraced - Dead Alive
YouTube - Soul Embraced Immune To Emotion
YouTube - soul embraced-kill this

I only recently found out about them, but so far, they seem pretty sweet.

Staple

YouTube - staple pop (sorry it's not a proper upload)
YouTube - Staple- Dictatorship vs Democracy
YouTube - Staple - Gavels From Gun Barrels

It's more post-hardcore then metal, but it's still really good. I recommend their self titled album (2004).

Underneath The Gun

YouTube - Underneath The Gun - Discordant
YouTube - Underneath the Gun - Muckraker
YouTube - Underneath The Gun- Romanian With A Glass Eye

Like heavy? Now you got it! These guys are one of the heaviest Christian bands ever! They're not for the faint of heart.

Hope this helped. Tell me what you think.

here are free copies of my two albums, the 4-song Element EP is the better of the two. Not sure if you'll like the vox or not, more hardcore than clean and silky. but there you go.
