| Halloween (1978) It's currently on TV right now.
I can't be the only one who ranks this up there as one of the all-time greatest slasher films ever made(for me, it easily makes my top 2 of all-time, with the original Psycho being the other one). Michael Myers is definitely one of the scariest horror antagonists in the history of cinema, and not only did this have a terrific story with solidly-drawn characters, but it was also lacking excessive gore, relying mostly on chilling suspense, making it all the more genuinely scary. The opening several minutes leading up to Michael's first kill is one of the scariest openings of any horror film, IMO.
What do the rest of you guys think of the film?
