Life soundtrack suggestions

Grandpa (or Daddo to our family) called me today and asked me if I'd be interested in doing a soundtrack of covers for my late Nanna's life.

Any suggestions?

Ask Daddo what her favorite songs were and use those.

It's hard to say since I never knew your Grandmother. A list of songs that would be obviously inappropriate would be much easier to comprise.

Sorry to hear of her passing. I'll pray that your family has peace and comfort.

I'm not sure what her favorite songs were, but I would make a soundtrack that celebrates her life. At my great aunt's funeral (she was the closest thing to a Grandma I ever had) they played songs rejoicing both her life and even her death because we knew she was now with the Lord

Also I am sorry for your loss... you and your family are in our prayers

I've always thought Spoken For by Mercy Me would be a good funeral song.

How about Dancing with the Angeles by Monk & Neagle. I believe I got the title right as well as the spelling of the authors.

At my other Grandma's funeral I think we did I Can Only Imagine. Whether it was a MercyMe recording I don't remember.

So has this happened yet? I'm curious as to knowing what songs you ended up choosing.

It's still in a bit of a brainstorm but so far I've considered Spoken For and I Can Only Imagine.

How about I Still Miss You by Hawk Nelson with a self-written solo?

How about these:

Broken - Seether?
Home - Foo Fighters
God's Been Good To Me - Keith Urban
Photograph - Nickelback
...and maybe a backing track from The Little Things Give You Away - Linkin Park.

Ooh, how about the soft part of To Live Is To Die - Metallica?
