Stop being cheap, Rainer!

Does GD foster more posts because it increases count?

I've never had an aversion to boosting my own post count, but I've never written much in my blog. Considering the age of my blog, it has a fairly low amount of participation.

That being said, I'm not sure if I don't write there because I'm afraid of crazies reading it as much as I just don't care to share a lot of my feelings on the internet anymore. I used to maintain a livejournal account that I posted in regularly...but not anymore. Things just happen that way I suppose.

I agree, in that sharing personal feelings on the internet isn't desirable anymore. Keeping my post count low artificially was odd, and I'm done doing it.

Would GD be a better forum if newbs were openly berated for tame posts?

I think GD would be a better forum if newbs were openly berated for lame posts.

Of course, I never really figured out what sort of content should belong in GD. This is probably one of the most GD appropriate threads I've ever seen.

In order for ME to have that many post I would have to have no life.

Why does the number of post matter anyway? I couldn't care less as to how many post I have.

Because if you dont have posts you are a loser in life.
Therefore, Art is the ultimate winner in life.

Because my number of posts is bigger than yours; thus, if we take that I = My post count #, and you = your post count #, all allowing for My post count # > Your post count #, then I > You. And that makes me feel good .

There once was a time when I actually cared about the number of posts I had, but that was mainly when I was a wet-behind-the-ears newb. I will admit, I did check my post count when I was getting up towards 14,000 to see when I would pass perhaps.

I really don't care about post count. I also dealt with the crazy stalker issue by remaining anonymous.

The crazy stalkers can chase Alex winters or search the phone books for BillSPrestonEsq all they want.

SO thus I can share with people I care about, largely they know who I am, and any crazy psychos, well, they can go on not knowing who I am.

I honestly, and I'm not kidding here, just figured out GuysKanKrye's username. I used to think it was Guy Skankrye (Skank + ree). Wow. Guys Can Cry. Amazing. I even started calling guys who kissed a lot of girls skankryes.

Moving on: We can share as much as we like on the internet, and I'd suggest that Skitur and BSPE have done an admirable job of controlling the amount of personal information available to the masses. I'm not sure whether I was ignorant or indifferent, but I now regret many of the things that I shared. Now I know my limit.

Would GD post count be more meaningful if it were held to a higher standard (no more Cheap threads)?
