| Naming Cars Anybody else name their cars? I know one person other than myself who names them and his mental condition is at best questionable.
However i am trying to think up a good name for my 90 Golf it has to be a German name of course i was thinking Helga or Jana

| Me and my bro named our cars...
Aveo= Ava
Bonneville= Bonnie
HHR= Herbert
we didn't name the minivan or the hot rod (37 Ford Panel... there are pix of it in my profile)
Name your car Gretel, Heidi, Helga, or Gertrude... now THAT'S German.

| Depending on how reliable the car has been, might want to call it Fritz. (Like, our toaster has been on the fritz lately...)
*groans*
Anyway, aside from making puns I don't hold with the practice of naming cars. My car has no name, nor will it as long as I have it.

| I prefer to stick with the 'traditional' nicknames for car models.... I do not give my vehicles human names. |

| My '88 Ford Ranger is named Grace. Sometimes, if it's having issues, it's Gracie. |

| When I was younger my cars had names. I don't name them any more.
I had Blue which was a 72 Monte Carlo.
Nancy's Heartache was a 77 Chevy truck.
Tadpole was my Toyota. It was green.
I do name my guitars still though.

| well, the galant is named "461" for obvious reasons.
the bike is called "the bus" mostly so i can annoy dirty hippies by telling them I ride the bus to work.
and the 4runner is named the 'Yota in honor of mattslope. |

| We don't name our cars, but they seem to pick up nicknames. We had a car with a license plate with the letters LRB - it was always known as The Lurb. My current car is L'il Guy - "I'm going to run to the store - I'll take the L'il Guy and fill him up." |
