| I watch to see if there are crashes. If none, then I switch channels. I dislike when the stations breakaway when the rescue begins. Also, I do not understand the points system - and that could be because I do not follow the sport.

Those two races are super entertaining, by the way. Watching NASCARs all pile into right hand sharp turns..... hilarious. |

| my main problem isn't that it's won by the tactician in the booth high above the track, or that they don't turn right.
Nope, it's the fact that the cars have fewer parts in common with their street going namesakes than the average bicycle.
If they forced manufacturers to at least pretend to build the cars based on their production vehicles we'd see fewer bland FWD family economobiles, and more interesting drivers cars.
Look at the cars of the 70's and 80's in stock car racing compared to today. |

I've never really been a fan of nascar. Actually, most people I know don't like nascar at all. I do think its fun to make fun of though...

Also this thread is getting bounced to Sports...where that mod can decide if it fits in Sports or Cars better. |

Stock = straight from the showroom floor. As it is now, all of the cars used in NASCAR are identical. Every single one. It would be cool if they went back to actually having manufacturers run cars that were truly stock. Meaning, I could run down to my local Chevy dealer and buy that exact model, if I wanted to. |
