| Pedal board setup? OK, so my current pedal set is:
Rocktron tuner
Dunlop Cry Baby (Red Fasel mod)
Boss CS-3
Ibanez TS-808
Boss BD-2
Boss DS-1
Rocktron Deep Blue chorus
Rocktron Short Timer delay
Danelectro Fish 'N Chips EQ
This is the current order. However, the EQ is a new pedal that is not in order, and I'm unsure of where it should go in the chain. Also, although I like how the others are set up, is there a 'better' way of ordering things? |

#2 | | Baby #2 is here! | Hmm... thats a lot of pedals.
I'd actually go:
DS-1
BD-2
TS-808
*CS-3*
Chorus
Delay
Crybaby
EQ
Tuner
BUT, it really depends on what kind of sound you're looking for. Honestly, for me, the compressor could go anywhere and sound ok. If first, it could smooth out your drive/distortion a bit...if after, a different type of smoothing. Again, depending on the sound you're after, you could even put the compressor after the delay or even wah. I'd lean towards this last one, but that is because I like to do a lot of different ambient sounds with my guitar/ebow.
BUT, the bigger thing is that there are no rules, and if you like it, go with it

| Yes. Lower gain into higher gain. I like the compressor into the Tube Screamer.
I keep thinking about cutting back, but I use 'em all, so I don't really want to do that. My bandmates don't change instruments or settings very often, so I have to be the one changing the sound up. And I use a single channel mid '60's tube amp, so I use the pedals as my channels, basically. The EQ was bought used, cheap, so I figured, WTH. |

I have to say that if this were my board, the only think I might consider is the position of the chorus. I never really settled on whether or not I preferred it before or after my delays. |

#6 | | not so bright | I finally decided on chorus BEFORE delay. My chorus is more like a delay though.
