(My car is extremely tight.) I'm having to force myself to start braking earlier as a result.

| I think the new Camaro is super ugly..... And it's not because I hate Camaros. I love the '67-'69 versions...

*flamesuit* | It's definitely got a look to it. It makes me think of what would happen if the the current Ford Mustang and the current Dodge Charger were merged...something the current Camaro doesn't want to look like, IMO. I agree with you about the older Camaros though, totally awesome. |

| Yeah, not a huge fan of the looks of the new Camaro either. Head on it looks find, from any other angle, meh. IMO the new Challenger kills it and the Mustang in the looks department.

#38 | | It's over 9000!!!!!!! | Some Supras are pretty badass themselves.....
And the new Camaro and the 2010 Mustangs are butt ugly. And this coming from someone who has owned five mustangs. The tail end of the Mustang is just horrible looking in my opinion. |

If you think so, it's because you haven't seen it up close or been involved with the people racing, crewing & co-driving in it. |

If you think so, it's because you haven't seen it up close or been involved with the people racing, crewing & co-driving in it. | Only because WRC has only become more and more watered-down throughout the years. Remember the old Group B cars? And seeing a motorsport up close is fairly irrelevant. Most motorsports are not seen up close by most people. |

However, I hold you have to participate in a motorsport event to really understand where the sport is/where it's going. I also hold that auto racing is not primarily a spectator sport. I certainly watch NASCAR and F1 racing in a very different light after a few A/X meets, and drag racing as well. Once you've had a really toned-down form of been there-done that, races kinda have new meaning.
Back on topic...
The title is fine, but I think it needs a little clarification. A sports car can be a muscle car-if you say a muscle car is a relatively cheap car with a huge engine. A Corvette falls into that category, but it's also a sports car. IMO, a car can be both.
Just looking at the title, I'd assume the thread was about domestic muscle vs. import "tuner" cars in drag racing. To which I'd say muscle, hands down. There is absolutely no replacement for displacement.

#45 | | It's over 9000!!!!!!! | Application is everything. I'd like to see a boosted 4 cylinder compete with a top fuel car in the quarter.....
On the same hand, any regular car would beat a top fuel out on any other track. |
