That said, whoever decided to put sequenced flashers on the new mustangs should have their head examined.
Halfway decent styling. Sort of. The Camaro is butt ugly. Then again, if they're trying to make it look like older Camaros, they're doing a good job. The Mustang isn't any better. The Challenger is okay, but the bumpers just suck, and it's too tall.

Why couldn't Pontiac just sell that car as the 'Monaro?' Like it actually is? Old cars should be left alone. I'm just glad nobody has yet touched some of the absolutely epic old cars. A remade XK120 or 140, or E-type, would make me go to the Jag dealer just to punch everyone in the face.

+ Eleventy billion on the challenger

I place alot of emphasys on halfway...I would say they are some of the best (least offensive) looking American cars being produced now.

Pontiac definatly should have sold it as the Monaro...They let down alot of people when they said they were making a GTO and rolled that out.

The XK-120 is truly epic...it would be one of my dream Snob Cars (if you don't know what I mean, go watch Cruel Intentions.)

Almost every newer Jag X car has been a E-type ripoff.

1988 Jaguar SJ6 ours looked like this

The problem was that the "newly rebuilt engine and trans" were not actually newly rebuilt... they were just made to look like they had. The other problem was what we had traded for it (my mom was a huge advocate of this deal at the time)... my dad's bright yellow 86 Corvette ours looked just like this

My mom hated the Vette cause it was only a 2 seater and my dad had owned "too many"... my dad could kick himself for going through with the deal though. If he wouldn't have traded we would probably still have it

Was that one of the Jags with the GM engine? I know they did that for a while, and it basically destroyed the company....

That body style 'vette =

Idk about the engine... I agree about the body style though.

the Stingrays looked WAY better than the '84 and on models, but as far as performance goes the '84 destroys the '82 (no '83 was made)Riding in one of the pre '84 feels kinda like driving in a garbage truck... the suspension wasn't all that great.

PLUS '84- early '90s are pretty inexpensive to buy. I actually plan on buying one once finances allow.

On the C4 'vettes, they tried to make up for the lack of power by making the car handle as well as possible. So, the suspension was fine, if performance rather than comfort was your desire.

I'm not a fan of the early C4's, nor the late C3's. As far as I'm concerned there weren't any corvettes made between about 1973 & 1991

as far as looks go... yeah, but those are the least expensive years to buy. So I would totally get one.

Dumb Corvette model year > no Corvette.

That logic isn't as wise as you may think...save and get what you actually want.

That wont work... It'll take me till I'm like 30 to afford a new ZR1

but seriously you are right. I would prefer a late 90's- early 00's... but they are about 15-50k. My Dad was considering seeing if anyone wanted to trade a newer (like 5 years old MAX) Vette for his hotrod... I kinda want him to, but I don't think he will find anyone who would be willing to. Maybe if it was completed he could find someone who was interested.

I'd love to get a mid 70's vette, strip it out, put a real engine in it, give it a modern suspension and running gear and make a strip/track car out of it. If I could land a '71 I wouldn't have to worry about finding a real engine.

^ this

I saw a supercharged 71 (maybe it was a '74) once... it was pretty sweet. I also saw someone who put a stingray body on a ZR1 chassis... it was friggin amazing.
