| Avatar YouTube - James Cameron's Avatar - Teaser Trailer HD
This is a brand-new sci-fi epic written and directed by James Cameron (whose other sci-fi backlogue include the first two Terminator films, Aliens, and The Abyss), the first film he has made in a full 12 years (the last film he has made being Titanic). He hasn't made this until now because, according to him, the appropriate technology that would suit his story hadn't been created yet.
The plot revolves around a band of humans that are pitted in a battle against a distant planet's indigenous population. The cast includes such actors as Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez, Giovanni Ribisi, and Zoe Saldana.
Anyone else excited?

| I was mildly interested in Avatar just based on what I had been hearing/reading about it. But this trailer pretty much destroys any enthusiasm I had for it. It just looked uninteresting to me. |

| I'm not entirely sure about this, but it's James Cameron. I have faith.

When you call anything with harsh vocals "screamo", it makes as much sense as calling anything with distorted guitar "heavy metal".

| How come nobody noticed the thread I created last year? Anyway, this film looks very good. I remember seeing a youtube vid of sum leaked footage of James Cameron with Sam Worthington.

It should make you more interested in an upcoming movie, not less. Since it failed to do that for me, then I probably won't care enough to check out future trailers that tell more about what's going on with the story. |

| Never heard of it. Sorry but the trailer doesn't seem to interest me.

| Saw another trailer for this before The Men Who Stare at Goats, and I'm excited now. Cameron's track record with sci-fi - and in general - is reason for hope, at least.

| Looks kinda cliche to me, just put in a sci-fi context
I think it's interesting that this movie is coming out about the same time as Aang: The Last Airbender who's TV show is of course called Avatar: The Last Airbender, so the Airbender movie couldn't use the name Avatar |

I'm a huge James Cameron fan. I think he's an incredible storyteller, and his track record speaks for itself. But I would be lying if I said the trailers I've seen thus far have pumped me up. - James Cameron's first film in 12 years
- Gigantic price tag
- It claims to revolutionize film
- Years worth of buzz
...and no one who's seen the trailer seems to be real impressed.
Of course, it's also a film mean to be seen with the latest and greatest technology and 3D stuff, and we're watching a YouTube trailer....but that won't make the plot more interesting.
I really want this to be as epic and revolutionary as it's claimed to be and make enough money that it's not an embarrassment, but right now it's not looking good at all. |

| I saw the trailer the other day before Where the Wild Things Are, and thought it looked incredibly lame. I have no plans on seeing this in the theater. |
