Angry Death Panels

For a while, I thought this was just some kind of goofy fringe conspiracy theory, but mainstream politicians and publications are starting to spread this nonsense as well.

For instance US Investors Daily recently speculated that, were Stephen Hawking British, he never would have lived to make his now famous strides in astrophysics because the British public healthcare system would not have deemed his life not worth the effort of saving. Thing is, Stephen Hawking is British, and survived to his current age with the help of the British healthcare system.

Sarah Palin has recently accused the President of wanting to kill her baby.

People are at health care policy meetings calling the President a Nazi who wants to kill unworthy Americans.

I am opposed to the public option myself, because I don't think we can afford it and because I don't think addresses the underlying problem of rising healthcare costs, but I am to the point where I am afraid to voice my own opinion about it because I'd rather be wrong than be associated with the ignorance and lies.

Honest conservatives ought to be on the front lines of the war against the spread of this nonsense, because it's making us look bad.

I think the Death Panel thing is sensationalized. Private insurance companies have had bureaucrats that make these kinds of decisions for years. Even hospitals have people in them that make these decisions. A public option would be no different.

Yeah most of the death panel stuff is just rhetoric- both sides of the argument have their extreme views.

I for one eventually there will be "death panels" . By this I do no tmean peoples cases going before a board and being stamped- dead or alive. But if the public opyion becoems law- It is going to become more and more exp[ensive- like every Govt. health program has , Medicare, Medicaid, Rx drug, VA, Tristar and on and on. With the enormous debt this nation is alreadey carrying and the projected debt doubling by 2019, health care will be forced tro be rationed if it goes public. there will just not be oenougn money nor the ability to tax enough. CBA, whole lives system will become the measure on scarcer and scarcer health dollars available and as Dr. Emmanuel showed this year- those 15-40 will get the most care as they are th emost productiver and as you get younger and older- care is reduced.
