#3 | | Registered User | I was thinking that also.
Why not, you know, a camera store? |

| Why would you buy a camera that is discontinuing it's film? |

#10 | | Cool enough Administrator | Because of respect and love for the format, and the fact that other companies will be making compatible film. |

Besides, a lot of people do odd things in the name of art. (not ^ that art...) |

| POLAROID FILM IS NOT DEAD
Sorry, but I had to repeat what Chelsea already said but people didn't seem to read.
Those One600 cameras blow anyways. SX-70 FTW.
They don't actually blow that much, but SX-70 still FTW because it's SLR, manual focus, and no annoying automatic flash... and it takes incredibly beautiful photos as well. And I guarantee you can find one used on Craigslist or eBay for less than what Urban Outfitters will charge for the One600. |

| I remember Polaroids from waaaay back. Like the early 70s. They took awful pictures. It was just such a novelty to have them (nearly) immediately. |

The SX-70 was first produced in 72. Plenty of great pack film cameras were made pre-70s. "Awful" is entirely the wrong word. |
