Hunting gear

I have never been hunting anywhere where I could use a rifle, but that's ok cause I have a strange attachment to shotguns. My dad gave me his old Remington 1100 (12 gauge semi auto 5 shot) which is what I used last year for deer hunting. ( I didn't get anything )

I am going bow hunting this year for the first time and I'm going to use his Darton (I'm not sure what model it is) which is really nice.

My dad has a pretty extensive gun collection, but he has only let me shoot a few of them.... anyway what do you usually use to to hunt?

I have a Binelli M2 Field Auto Loading 12 Gauge shotgun. This is what I use to do all my bird hunting. For big game I use a remington .270 rifle w/ scope. Those two guns are good for all the hunting I do.

no, my philosophy is that man made a step forward when we created guns, so why take a step back and use a bow?

This is true...

I've never tried it, but I think I'm going to this year... I figure I might as well.

Here in Montana bow hunters have a huge advantage. Their season is before rifle season, so they get a chance at the big game before they have been pushed further back in the mountains and before they are all spooked.
