My brother sure didn't think so! He made fun of me relentlessly because of that....

I'm still thinking about changing it some day.

When I tell people my name, it takes about three times before they know what to say. Not spell, just to know what to say. And then half of them forget so I have to go through it all over again.

At drivers ed it got annoying since I didn't know anybody there, and people just called me "homeschool".

no one misspells my name, they just call me by the wrong name.

My name's Jeremy...I've gotten Jermaine, Jerome, Jeronimo, Jeremiah, Jeremie, Jeramy, and I'm sure there are more that I can't think of. Most were the result of an of an elderly aunt.

I've had Groet and Grout for the first part of my last name and many thousand different versions of the second part... Nebulink being the best. Then of course there are the funny people who want to call me "Nibbles"... trust me guys, I've heard them all before.

Where I went today the person's name is Hsu. I asked at reception how was it pronounced for I was not sure if the H was silent or the S. It turns out that the H is silent.

My name is Julia. People call me Julie, Julianne, Juliet, and (on forums, where people seem to assume I'm a dude until I tell them otherwise) Julian. My grandfather has known me for my entire life and has never once called me by my actual name. He calls me Julie. But I know he knows what it really is because he spells it correctly on my birthday cards. I treat it like a pet name, because he is, after all, my grandpa.

And one time, I won a major award category in a musical festival, and discovered, upon receiving my medal, that they had engraved misspellings of both my first and my last name.

Almost equal - there the 'i' is replaced with a 'y'. This is interesting though, as long as the cheques have the correct spelling it is ok.
Mass mailers tend to get it wrong but that is ok. No need to call them to correct.

What are some of your reactions, if any?
You spelled "checks" wrong

Is it because there are only two letters - that is great. Mine has one more letter than yours and today a family member sent an email with incorrect spelling. Why family only gets it wrong and others get it right, beats me
