Going on a snow camp on Thursday morning.

Going with school (not that it's necessarily relevant).

What should I know? Any tips?

Take a good sleeping bag. Oh, and be sure to keep your hands and face warm. You don't want frostbite to hit. (I have no clue how cold it actually is there, I was just saying those things as a precaution.) Most importantly of all, have fun. Snow camping should be fun. At least it has been all the times I have went camping in the cold/snow.

try not to wear cotton, honestly. Synthetic fibers & wool = win, and then a good waterproof shell and you'll stay comfy the entire time.

I've never camped in the snow because it's too cold IMO

Unless I'm really needing to travel light, I try to use that mindset whenever I pack for something. At a preteen camp in 6th grade, I ran out of socks and tshirts on my 3rd day...that left 2 days to wear dirty socks and shirts.

Since then, I've ALWAYS packed much extra

Lollies are candies in Australia and New Zealand.

Is August pretty much the dead of winter in the Southern Hemisphere?
