Battle of the Bands?
how many of you all would be interested in a battle of the bands type thing here on CGR? I thought this might be something that would be fun to do w/ all the bands here.

so far we have

skeeter - Hooray for Gooba
thesteve - the morning glass
rainer -
rfclef - cry of stones
earlessdog - Inigo Sneezes
akaukal - Bloody Benders
thrash - modern miracle
almost enough - Como What?

well, i was thinking that we could set a deadline to submit a recording. i could set up the sound bytes on a page, and then we could have the members come and vote...or...we could do it "march madness style" and have each band submit 3-4 songs and the winners in the different matchups would get to the title matchup. i am open to suggestions.

Most probably do, I know quite a few do anyway. I personally only have one, but I do have plans on doing some more.

How's about live performances too? I guess to me the dynamics of a live performance, whether recording or video really show a lot about the band. SOme bands are awesome in the studio and suck live, which I find to be pretty sad....

Anyway, I am definitely in! We are recording Saturday! Yeehaw!

ok, i updated the op for the bands that are possibly interested. if i didnt put in your band's name just put it in this thread. we need to let more people know about this. i will send out an email to everyone in a couple of weeks.
