FS: Gretsch G5235W
Well, I’ve had my fun with it. My wife says some things got to go and this one is low on the totem poll. It’s a Gretsch G5235W. They sold new for about $500-$600. It’s been upgraded with TV Jones Magnatron pickups ($270), a Gold Bigsby B-7 ($200), gold frets, and a gold pick guard ($50).

It does have a few minor dents and dings in the back but it’s a very unique, very cool ax. The back of the neck and headstock have be stripped of finish to allow a smooth, satin feel rather than the sticky factory finish. I would guess that there is over $1000 poured into this guitar (between original price and modifications). I’ll Take $700 obo! I’ll gladly listen to any trade offers too.

How are those TV Jones pups? I've considered eventually throwing a pair into my Gretsch. Yours is gorgeous by the way. Totally jealous.

The Magnatrons are pretty hot. They just remind me of a REALLY well balance humbucker. I KINDA wish I would have tried the Classics instead but the Magnatrons suit my style better I think.

Yes...definitely better than stock. That doesn't take much IMO. If you go ahead and put some better pots and a better cap in there it's absolutely worth the price.

This is a very very nice guitar ... I've been looking for one like it ... too bad i cant take this deal ...

And I couldn't find the original you modded this from ...
