Kind of an obscure addition, but I'm hard pressed to think of a cooler weapon then posessing your enemies and then watching them run amok in a panic as they gun each other down. The exploding farts from that series weren't bad either.

| In the original halo, shotgun + pistol combo was virtually unstoppable, which was awesome. They ruined the pistol in 2 & 3 though
I have to admit that silenced P90 w/ UAV jammer and dead silence in COD4 is ridiculously effective as long as you can get your quarry in range
Ben: the redeemer was a guided (or not) tactical nuclear missile, so I'm sure that's why it was so great. I personally looooooved the flak cannon and the sniper rifle though. UTGOTY + CTF-FACE = epiqqq sniping opportunities. |

Best action part of the movie was when he picked up the pig and killed somebody with it, aka gravity gun
*End Spoiler*
I'd say the force grip in Force Unleashed is pretty sweet as well, I guess it's more of an "attack" than it is a "weapon" though. I love the crossbow in Half Life 2, hot metal rods anyone? |

Speaking of Wolfenstein, the gatling in Wolfenstein 3D was awesome. So was the Redeemer in Unreal Tournament. The flak cannon was also great. But really, the railgun from Quake 3: Arena was just amazing.
Currently, my favorite weapon from the games I play is the tactical shotgun from Left 4 Dead.

One weapon that I am stunned nobody has mentioned is the ripper from unreal tournament. Not only could it be a one shot kill, but you could fire it around corners and down tunnels.
