Archaeology subforum

I think this would be a nice addition to the site. I like to discuss study archaeology and there is not good place to really put it. Yeah, you could say it cna be discussed in history, but it would be cooler if it had its own subforum.

I agree on both counts. Although I don't have a great understanding of archaeology I think this would be a great way for the young guys like myself to learn something new.

Forums are not created until a legitimate demand can be demonstrated. Appropriate threads can be created in the History forum. If enough activity is created, then we will consider creating an Archaeology forum.

Hmm.... what do you specifically mean by that? As far as I know Archaeology hasn't actually even been considered a science until Albright started the process of dating pottery and actually made a legit process to the idea of dating areas of archaeological importance.
And this was in the early 20th century. Prior to that archaeology seemed to be more hit and miss.
But I guess this depends on what you mean by "science"....everything coud be considered science to a degree: hermeneutics, exegesis, textual cristicism, etc...
