Hmm.... what do you specifically mean by that? As far as I know Archaeology hasn't actually even been considered a science until Albright started the process of dating pottery and actually made a legit process to the idea of dating areas of archaeological importance.
And this was in the early 20th century. Prior to that archaeology seemed to be more hit and miss.
But I guess this depends on what you mean by "science"....everything coud be considered science to a degree: hermeneutics, exegesis, textual cristicism, etc...
