Do you eat your apple cores?

This question came up this morning, when a friend saw another friend eat her apple core. she then procceded to ask everyone else whether or not they ate their apple cores. with the result about 2 of 9 people asked, did. one even ate his apricot pips because they contained vitamin B18 or something like that.

do you eat your apple cores?

i dont.

Apple seeds contain cyanide. Not enough to hurt you, but..... it's cyanide!

She needs to stop eating apricot pits.

I thought this warranted some witty and clever response, but all I've got is... you have weird friends.

I cannot get anywhere near the core or it starts to mess with my mind. It's probably because the core is always more solid than it should be.

That sounds really gross.... Really really gross. Almost as gross as eating orange peelings.

Huh. It doesn't matter where I am. If there's a trash can around, great! If not, into the bushes! Let some squirrels with harder teeth and stronger stomachs eat it!
So, that'd be a "no" for me. And I'm pretty sure apricot pits aren't good news. Peach pits, if I'm not mistaken will actually harm you (to what degree, I don't know). But I can't imagine apricot pits being good.

Wait! I'm discussing apricot pits like they are gummy bears! How does one go about eating an apricot pit????? Does this guy by any chance have steel teeth?
