And Boise State is good. Way better than BGSU at least.
Ohio State got another shutout, which made me happy.
And I feel vindicated. I have been saying all season long that Cal was overrated. And turns out that yep, I was right. Good to know that I'm not stupid when it comes to college football. |

I know LSU is next in line to slide up to #4, but I'm not sure they deserve it. They've beaten WA, who beat USC..but that's it. They still have something to prove.
I think I'd slide VT up to #4. I know that's a big jump, but they've taken out two top 25 teams and played a very close game with the #3 team. I think they've done more to deserve that position, at this point, than OK or Boise if you look at their schedules thus far.

As long as OSU is back in the top 10 they have a legitimate shot at making a bcs bowl game. So I'm happy. I'm also happy to see that Iowa is in the top 25. They deserve it after beating Penn State. I'm hoping that when Iowa comes to OSU, the outcome is a bit different, but if Iowa beats both OSU and Penn State, they deserve to win the Big 10. |

Regardless of how it happened, we're 4-0 and Forcier is expected to play against MSU.

Michigan is much better than expected, that's for sure. |

| I just read an article that stated Yankee Stadium will host a college football bowl game beginning in 2010, featuring teams from the Big East conference vs a team from the Big 12. While it's good that teams will get to participate in post season action, I believe the system is already watered down enough. I'm rather certain that these teams will only have 5-6 wins to play in this bowl game, and do we really need so many bowl games? If we are going to add bowl games, lets go ahead and incorporate it into a playoff (I know that's another thread altogether ).
Perhaps that's the thinking behind this idea, to get a game into place, so that if a playoff system comes along, Steinbrenner has a piece of the pie.
Anybody else feel we have enough bowl games already? |

Anybody else feel we have enough bowl games already? | Yeah. While I think its cool that it gives a lot of teams chances to end on a high note, there are so many unnecessary consolation games. And, as we all know, that we are in desperate need of a playoff system. Does anyone else agree with a bracket style playoff, with like, the top 16 teams or so? My dad thinks it would never work, because they don't have the time, but I think its a great idea. You would incorporate the major bowl games into the final games, like, the final four would be two normally BCS games, like the Orange Bowl and the Rose bowl or something, and the other two BCS games in the elite 8, and so forth.
I know this could probably be an entire other thread, but I think that would should it least discuss it somewhere. Any thoughts?

| I'm okay with a bunch of bowls. It's just more football to watch.
I'd be happy to see any kind of playoff system. I figure any way they did it would be better than what is in place now.

Anybody else feel we have enough bowl games already? | I heard a few more details about this game, that will be played between Christmas and New Years Day 2010; Quote: |
The Big East will send either its third or fourth selection to the Yankee Stadium bowl game. The Big 12 will send its seventh selection. If the Big 12 does not have enough bowl eligible teams, Notre Dame has agreed to take its place, providing it is available.
| Not sure I would want to pay to travel to NYC around the holidays to watch the seventh best team in the Big XII conference, in an outdoor stadiium. But that's just me, poor, old and cold in the winter. |
