By the way, Clemsons comeback to almost win was something last night. I remember they were down 24-7 or something through the third and I didn't think they had a chance versus GT, and then I turned it back on and it was 27-27...

Because I have that same dislike for the Big10 that you have for USC. I'm a Cal guy, but I am quick to say "FIGHT ON TROJANS!" |

Is it a Rose Bowl thing? Because I feel the same way about the Pac-10, for the most part.

| That, and I think that until this year the Big10 has been grossly overrated. |

I dislike the SEC more than Pac-10, and I'm a diehard Buckeye fan. I of course want Ohio State to win tonight, but if they don't, I don't care much, because as much as the BIG 10 is overrated, so is the PAC-10.

It has not been all that long.
And I really think the Pac 10 has been more underrated in recent years than anything. But hey, we're definitely going to disagree on this. Just like SEC fans would scream when I say that I think they are more overrated than everybody else combined. |

| Today was good in college football. Lots of good games, but I do have to say that Forcier, the qb for Michigan is way too egotistical for only starting two games. I can't wait until he loses more games and realizes that he is not as big and mighty as he thinks he is. There is nothing I like less than a college football player with a big head, when they don't really deserve it. You never saw Terrelle Pryor running his mouth after a game like Forcier did today. Just another reason to hate Meatchicken.

Apparently there is something wrong with getting a little excited after throwing the winning touchdown pass with less than 20 seconds to go against your second biggest rival. What does Tate Forcier not deserve in that victory? Yeah, and Matt Barkley is a terrible kid too.. Quote: |

Anyways, today was an interesting day. What happened to Oklahoma State?

USC isn't over-rated. They are as good as their rating says they are.
The rest of the Pac-10 isn't rated very highly. USC and Cal are the only two even ranked. |

Anyways, today was an interesting day. What happened to Oklahoma State? | I have a problem with people who have big attitudes, who have absolutely no reason to. UM just came off of the worst season they've had in forever. Tate has no reason to act like a prick on national television. However, Barkley comes from a team that has been good for the past five+years consistently. And USC was ranked #3. What was Notre Dame? 20? And that was too giving anyway. Notre Dame was overrated like always. So yeah, kudos to Forcier for beating up on a crappy team. Doesn't really prove anything except you can beat teams that are bad. I have no problem with Barkley's comments. He beat a top ten 10, came back to do it, and did it on the road, not home. Which is a far bigger achievement. than Tate's. I guarantee if Um and USC met tonight, UM would have lost by a lot more than OSU did. A LOT more. Tate is in no way even close to Barkley's level of talent.

But historically when PAC 10 teams have been rated, excluding USC, those teams have gone down in a huge blaze and ended up playing really crappy bowl games, some not even making a bowl game after being ranked. Such as UCLA, Oregon, Oregon State... All I'm saying is if Art is going to bash the Big 10 for being overrated in the past, then he needs to definitely look in the college football mirror and realize all he is hiding behind is USC being the dominate team in the PAC 10.

| I would say that, historically, leading your team to victory over Notre Dame on Television is a big deal. Yeah, a little humility never hurt anyone, but I think you're getting way too harsh on Forcier.
In other games...
Tennessee lost to UCLA: How the heck can anyone be excited to have Lane Kiffin as their coach? I really think UT fans are insane for dumping a guy like Fulmer, who atleast had some class and dignity for a loudmouth jerk who got fired as the coach of the Raiders.
Auburn defeated Mississippi State 49-24: Sadly, my family runs a traditional bet on this one. Looks like I'll be stuck wearing an Auburn hoodie around Christmas. Still, I'm excited that my alma mater can atleast scorem, unlike the last five seasons. |
