Again, Nevada has a very good offense, and ND shut them down completely. They have 3 different players who have rushed for 1000 yards, and Charlie Weis even said that Chris Kaepernick might be the best QB they see this year. (USC's Freshman QB looked pretty good yesterday, so he might be the best...) This was not just a meaningless early season win.

Actually I think Notre Dame does a pretty good job of putting together a schedule that is challenging. You have to remember that schedules are sometimes in place years ahead, and this season they play Michigan, Michigan St, Purdue (local interest), USC, Boston College, and Pitt. Most elite programs in the country play a conference schedule that is littered with easy wins, and ND doesn't have that going for them. Not to mention that Notre Dame has a bit of a bullseye on them; for some schools...this is thier super bowl, so ND gets that teams best shot.

UM is still in a down year,MSU and Purdue are decent,USC is their only extremely tough game, and both BC and Pitt are in way down years. This schedule doesnt scream 'BCS worthy' to me.Yeah every team has a schedule with a few 'givens',but ND does have that too.

No one pointed out that the Vols rolled over W. Kentucky 63-7. Of course, it was W. Kentucky, but still, they didn't look that bad.

Yeah, I watched quite a bit of college football this weekend and that might have been the best one. What a defensive stand at the end of the game. Must have been a half dozen stops inside the 10 yard line.

i LOVE that Miami won today. And I love that those two teams have some playmakers again. They will be making some BCS noise.

I have to say I'm excited for a more competitive ACC too. The rivalries and everything are just so much more fun to watch. That was an awesome game last night, too.

Yeah, that was a great game! It was easily the most exciting game I watched over the past few days. It reminded me of when Miami and FSU both had good teams on a regular basis. I was very impressed with Miami's QB. Wow..what a talented kid. Tough loss for FSU though.

Indeed. That missed extra point turned out to be HUGE....

I hope for a close game...but I'm feeling pretty doubtful that OSU will hang with SC...

They didn't look bad because WKU just entered the FBS this year.

That was such a good game.

GT eeked out a close one against Clemson tonight, should NOT have been that close, but glad they walked away with the win.Nesbitt will HAVE to improve, but he was clutch down the stretch.
