Concerts

Last night I had the honor of seeing Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, and Bob Dylan in one night for only the charge of gas money (thank you, friend's parents!). It amazed me how much John and Bob rocked down the house! Definitely surprising considering their ages (though Dylan moreso than Mellencamp), but I suppose it's another lesson that you can't judge a book by its publication date . I knew it would be an awesome concert, but had no idea it'd be like that.

Anyone been to any concerts lately that caught you off-guard?

Dang. I was hoping that you would say that show sucked. The three of them are coming to South Carolina in a couple of days but I can't scrape up the dough...

Depends what you mean by that...

I was at Vans Warped Tour last week and when I saw Alexisonfire, I was moshing so hard that I nearly landed on my left ankle. It was a little sore till tuesday. Now I'm fine.

Not quite. I mean more of a "Has the quality of the concert ever caught you off-guard" type thing.

Seeing Zappa Plays Zappa last night kind of caught me off-guard. I was expecting it to be really good... just not THAT good. They totally blew my mind.

I've never been to anything non christian, but I went to Third Day and Sixpence none the richer, Toby mac and Jars of Clay ( at the Puyallup fair ) then I've been to Freedom fest twice to see Skillet Kj-52 seventh day slumber pillar and bands like that..... Freedom fest was awesome because you could go as close to the stage and its all dirt so when everyone jumps its crazy. But I was a lot younger then and stayed back and mellow, regret it now.

Local band? I've never heard of them (not that that's saying much... ).
