| The old fashioned way is the best way. Practice your scales and arpeggios. Learn to match the pitch of the instrument or tape your practicing with. Feel your throat does it close up? Relax it. The less tense you are the easier it will be to reach your desired pitch. Remember to warm up properly. If you dont your vocal chords will not be properly stretched and it will be much more difficult to hit notes. I like to start in the middle of my range and do chromatic runs up and down from that starting note. Maybe start with a half octave each way and increase from there. Also take care of your throat, lay off soda's, coffee, dont hang around smokers, leave the sugary foods alone, get plenty of rest and if you think youve drunk enough water drink twice that. A good cup of "throat coat" tea before a show will do wonders.
